- Those with the PA1 qualification – ‘Safe Use of Pesticides’
- Those using granular application of pesticides
- Those using a vehicle mounted or trailed applicator at work
- Those wishing to develop knowledge and understanding of health and safety requirements
- Those able to proficiently operate and drive the vehicle which is being used during training
What are the course objectives?
- Identify and describe how granular applicators work
- Prepare and set up granular applicators
- Choose and use the correct type of applicator for a given product and situation
- Set and check the application rate for an application
- Fill the applicator safely and efficiently
- Decontaminate the machinery safely
- Service the machinery
- Select the correct PPE when using granules
- Clean and store machinery correctly
- Accurately record information

One day course plus one day assessment

City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pelleted or Granular Pesticides Using Mounted or Trailed Applicators (QCF) – PA4
